Cryptography Engineer
Full-time · Remote, Milan or Prague
Design and implement high-performance cryptographic algorithms: post-quantum schemes, symmetric ciphers and zero-knowledge systems.
About the role
We're hiring an experienced cryptography engineer. You'll work with our researchers and engineers on open-source projects that major technology companies rely on.
The work is designing and implementing cryptographic primitives, making them fast on different architectures, and making sure they hold up against side-channel attacks.
What you'll do
- Design and implement cryptographic algorithms in Rust
- Optimize performance for different CPU architectures (x86, ARM)
- Write constant-time implementations that resist side-channel attacks
- Contribute to post-quantum cryptography research and implementation
- Review code and take part in security audits of cryptographic systems
- Write technical documentation and contribute to research papers
What we're looking for
- A strong background in cryptography and mathematics
- 3+ years of systems programming (Rust, C or C++)
- A deep understanding of symmetric and asymmetric cryptography
- Familiarity with side-channel attacks and countermeasures
- Experience with CPU-specific optimizations (SIMD, intrinsics)
Nice to have
- Experience with post-quantum algorithms (ML-DSA, ML-KEM)
- Contributions to open-source cryptography projects
- Published research in cryptography or security
- Experience with formal verification tools
- Knowledge of zero-knowledge proof systems
